Trump Regrets: Canadian's Twitter account reveals American voters' regrets
A Twitter account based in Canada is revealing a whole lot of @Trump_Regrets, as the world reels from Donald Trump’s first two weeks as US President.
The idea is simple – the @Trump_Regrets account simply retweets tweets by voters who are now wishing they’d never voted for Trump.
The account was set up by Erica Baguma in Halifax, Nova Scotia, after she became curious about Trump supporters, and at the time of writing has over 174,000 followers.
She wanted to figure out “why they voted for him and how they felt about it later,” Baguma told Daily Hive. “I saw so many regrets that I wanted to start keeping track of them all.”
Baguma said voters were misinformed, citing this one as a typical example:
@realdonaldtrump I voted for you expecting someone to shake up DC but was wrong. I regret voting for you. Your muslim ban is despicable!
