'Canada might be the superior country': Internet star Trisha Paytas is hooked on Tim Hortons
While grabbing a Tim Hortons is nothing out of the ordinary for most Canadians, it’s always a treat to see how celebrities react to the iconic spot.
During a recent visit to Toronto, internet personality Trisha Paytas, known for her mukbang videos which are the stuff of legend, wasted no time in getting acquainted with Tim Hortons and documenting her experience on TikTok.
Paytas was in Toronto as part of The Eras of Trish tour. Ahead of her first sold-out show at Massey Hall on February 22, she tried some Tim Hortons — essentially a right of passage for anyone visiting Canada.
The social media star showed her first Tims order, complete with an iced coffee and a box of Timbits, which were an immediate hit.

“Wow, that’s beautiful right there,” Paytas said as she opened up the box stuffed with a variety of Timbits, before she settled on trying a chocolate one.
“They’re so thick and sweet,” she said.
Paytas also ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap from the Canadian chain despite admitting to not usually being a big fan of chicken wraps. However, she was officially won over by the spicy snack.
“This is the best quality chicken I’ve had… Canadian chicken might be better,” she said.
Even from her first experience, Paytas was officially won over by the Canadian coffee spot.
“Man, Tim Hortons is not overrated. It’s actually really good,” she added.
After her initial review, plenty of Canadians quickly jumped into Paytas’ comments to put her on to two more classic Tims treats, the Iced Capp and the Farmers’ Wrap, which she also tried on camera the next day.
However, Paytas shared that she’d decided to order the Tim Hortons haul to her hotel, so the Iced Capp was melted, a pain that Canadians know all too well. Despite this, Paytas was pleasantly surprised.

“I got the vanilla one, and it’s really good. That was a good suggestion,” she said.
Next up was perhaps the most iconic Tims breakfast item, the Farmer’s Wrap, and Paytas was curious to see how it stacked up against the Buffalo chicken one.
“I loved my Buffalo chicken wrap yesterday, so let’s see if the breakfast one lives up to the hype,” she said before digging in.
After trying, Paytas gave the Farmer’s Wrap her seal of approval, though it was not quite as highly praised as the Buffalo chicken wrap, which she said she would be ordering again before her second show. However, she said it was way better than most coffee shop sandwiches.
“Fuelled by Timmies,” she said, adding that the meal was a 10 out of 10.

Paytas also took the opportunity to try out Canadian McDonald’s as her post-show snack, with her fast food and show experiences leading her to make some pretty big statements about her love for Canada.
“I fear Canada may be the superior country, I’m not gonna lie,” she said.
