The Toronto Raptors are off to the Eastern Conference Final after defeating the Miami Heat 116-89 on home court in Game 7 of their second round series.

The Raptors’ all-stars played like all-stars on this day, as Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan – who have been off and on at times in this series – pulled through. Lowry scored 35 for the Raptors, and added 7 rebounds, 9 assists, and 4 steals for the home team. DeRozan finished second on the Raptors in points today, putting up 28 points and pulling down 8 rebounds.

Bismack Biyombo, who was thrust into a more prominent role after Jonas Valanciunas was injured in Game 3, was a force in the middle for Toronto. The energetic 23-year-old from the Congo scored 17 points and pulled down 16 rebounds for the Raptors.

After winning two consecutive Game 7s, the Raptors will advance to the Eastern Conference Final for the first time in their 21-year franchise history.

Waiting for the Raptors in the Eastern Conference Final are LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs, who despite winning just one more game than Toronto during the regular season, will be the clear favourites going in after consecutive series sweeps over Detroit and Atlanta.

The Cavs and Raptors will kick things off on Tuesday at Quick Loans Arena in Cleveland.
