Strong Arms. Big Hair. Can’t Loose.” If you loved Friday Night Lights, then you will be sure to love this hilarious, improvised spin off of the 2000’s TV series. Each Monday night there is a new episode that will transport you into small Town America’s Football fandom that includes harsh coaches, scatterbrained cheerleaders, stressed out quarterbacks and teenage love.

Mother Mother

This indie Canadian rock band, based out of Vancouver got their start just over ten years ago in 2005, when the original members came together in Heriot Bay and began playing vocal-driven pop songs. Eventually, they released an independent album of their own work, but they didn’t get their big break until they released their debut album and began opening for stars such as K’naan, the Wailin’ Jennys and the Cat Empire. Since then they have gone on to play numerous music festival, sign with Universal Music Canada and release many more albums. Hear music from their latest album, which was released on February 10, on their “No Culture Tour” which will be rocking the SAIT Auditorium on March 20!

Go skating outdoors

Now that winter seems to have finally settled in for the long haul, it’s time for the winter activities to commence. Grab a few friends, some hot chocolate and bundle up in your warmest, yet stylish winter attire and go skating on one of Calgary’s many outdoor rinks that are well maintained by either the city or volunteers within the community. Star Trek: The Starfleet Academy

Calling all Trekkies! Having opened on February 4, Star Trek: The Starfleet Academy Experience will be at TELUS Spark until June 4, 2017. Upon entering the exhibit, you’ll become a Starfleet Academy cadet recruit.
