What: Ever wanted to go to a corn maze when its dark outside? Well bring a flashlight and come to Freaky Fridays and Flashlight Nights and find your way through the various corn mazes.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Grim Manor

What: Grim Manor, Calgary’s newest Halloween attraction, is a haunted house with a backstory that will leave you with goosebumps.

Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival

What: The 40th anniversary of the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival is a host to a wonderful variety of events like The Snow Show, Hot Topics Seminars and more.

Where: The Banff Centre -107 Tunnel Mountain Dr, Banff

Ghouls’ Night Out

What: Perfect for families with children aged three to nine, Ghouls’ Night Out at Heritage Park provides all the quintessential Halloween attractions including decorations, storytelling, crafts, and an assortment of Halloween characters.

Haunted Pumpkin Festival

What: An autumn outing to this pumpkin patch is the perfect way to get into the fall season. There will be fun haunted houses, corn mazes, a petting farm, shootin’ Gallery and more.

Haunted Calgary’s The Coven

What: Visit this attraction set in Salem Massachusetts in 1692, where you can choose to have live actors (high scare) or no actors (low scare).

Disney in concert Calgary: The Nightmare Before Christmas

What: The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, along with conductor Roberto Minczuk will be performing the beloved score from The Nightmare Before Christmas, composed by legendary Hollywood composer Danny Elfman.

Calgary Ghost Tours

Kayben’s Pumpkin Days Dress Up Day

ScreamFest

What: ScreamFest is one of Canada’s largest and scariest Halloween events. Experience up to 8 haunted houses, carnival games and more.

When: Thursday, October 29 to Saturday, October 31 from 7 p.m. to midnight

Cost: $25 for adult. Recommended for ages 13 and over.

ILLUMINASIA garden and lantern festival

What: Come see authentic Chinese lanterns that will light up the zoo. There will also be authentic Chinese, Japanese and Indian entertainment and programs.

Where: Calgary Zoo – 1300 Zoo Road NE, Calgary

When: Now through until Sunday, November 1; 7 to 10 p.m. (Thursday to Saturday) and 6 to 9 p.m. (Sunday)

Calgary Organ Festival

What: Over the course of 11 days this festival will be celebrating the organ by hosting concerts, a Silent Movie with live organ accompaniment, a master class, “Pedals, Pipes and a Pitcher!” workshop, organ crawl and worship Service.

The Crucible

What: A play based on the Salem witch trials about a lurking evil in the Salem Massachusetts community.
