Dinner Theatre Murder Mystery: Homicide for the Holidays

2016 Skate Canada Challenge

  • What: Skate Canada Challenge will be bringing over 500 skaters from across Canada to compete through their respective sectional championships.

  • When: Wednesday, December 2 to Sunday, December 6
  • Cost: $10 Wednesday to Friday and $20 Saturday and Sunday; $50 for all events

Live Auction: Post: Miniature Fundraiser & Winter Celebration

  • What: Have a chance to bid on miniature artworks that are 12-inches by 12-inches created by Students, faculty, staff and local artists, while enjoying refreshments and snacks.

Spruce Meadows Run Series: Dashing Through the Glow (2K, 5K)

StoryBook Theatre’s A Christmas Story: The musical

  • What: Hilarious is only one of the words used to describe A Christmas Story – the musical, which is based on the holiday movie favourite. It’s about a boy in the 1940s who has a huge imagination and one wish for Christmas.

Spark Disability Art Festival

  • What: Spark festival lasts for five days and is a host to a series of visual art exhibits such as “Terrifical,” “Dramaticalism,” and more, keynote speakers, panels exhibits, and workshops.

Zoolights at Calgary Zoo

  • What: Incredible lights illuminate the Calgary Zoo in almost every colour imaginable. Along with beautiful scenery you can skate on their skating rink, visit Santa, do kids activities and watch the Calgary Zoo’s new interactive light display.
  • Where: Calgary Zoo – 1300 Zoo Road NE
  • When: Now until Saturday, January 2 from 6 to 9 p.m.
  • Cost: $14 for general admission, $11 for children, and $5 for parking.

Heritage Park’s Once Upon a Christmas

  • What: Get into the spirit of Christmas by taking a wagon ride, singing carols and visiting Santa. Perhaps decorating gingerbread cookies or visiting the petting zoo is more your style, there are plenty of activities to do at this ongoing traditional Christmas event.
