Honens Festival & Piano Competition

  • What: The festival is 10 days of music-making. Honens searches for the complete pianist, a 21st century artist, from the 10 contestants.
  • Where: Jack Singer Concert Hall, Arts Commons – 205 8 Ave SE, Calgary
  • When: Thursday, September 3 to Saturday, September 12, times vary
  • Cost: $460 festival pass, single tickets range in price

The Fate of Dance

  • What: The 34th Annual Alberta Dance Festival will be hosting their production, The Fate of Dance.
  • Where: Victor Mitchell Theatre, Pumphouse Theatre – 2140 Pumphouse Ave SW, Calgary
  • When: Thursday, September 10 to Friday, September 11 and Thursday, September 17 to Saturday, September 19 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Cost: $30 and up; $50 for a 2-ticket pass

Inglewood Night Market

  • What: With many vendors, fantastic food trucks and live music it’s a must visit the expanded Market.
  • Where: 10 St and 9 Ave SE, Calgary
  • When: Friday, September 11 from 6 to 11 p.m.

Calgary Residential Rental Association’s 22nd Annual Golf Extravaganza

  • What: The 22nd Annual Golf Extravaganza includes lunch, a golf cart and dinner. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.
  • Where: River’s Edge Golf Club – 370137 64 St E, Okotoks
  • When: Wednesday, September 9 at 10:45 a.m.
  • Cost: $160

Music & Market Square

  • What: Every Thursday expect to see an event here. There are always fun things to do such as dance, meet new people and, of course, eat and drink.
  • Where: ContainR Park in Sunnyside, Calgary
  • When: Thursday, September 10 from 6:30p.m. to 8:30p.m.
  • Cost: Pay what you can, proceeds go to the Artists

The Art of Leadership Calgary 2015

  • What: The Art of Leadership is coming to Calgary on September 11, where five internationally renowned authors and leaders will share their own unique experiences and achievements in the world of leadership.
  • Where: Telus Convention Centre – 120-9th Avenue South East, Calgary
  • When: Friday, September 11, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Corporate Challenge: Kick-Off Pep Rally

  • What: Friends and family of are welcome to come kick-off the 2015 CCC September Games. There will be a free lunch served at 11:30 a.m. and an opening ceremony at 12:30 p.m. which includes a speech from a special guest athlete.
  • Where: Eau Claire, Calgary
  • When: Friday, September 11 at 11 a.m.

Daring Deco 1920s Fashion Show

  • What: Hosting a rare fashion show of the Gardens 1920’s pieces from an extensive private fashion collection. Unique performances, food catered by the restaurant and more will be present.

  • Cost: $50 to $150

Jubilations: Dinner Theatre

  • What: Have dinner and enjoy Once Upon a Time With Elvis. It’s about an Evil Queen who places a spell on our most beloved fairy tale characters making them forget their own stories.

  • What: A comedy about  a women named Alma who thinks that her discount is of the “five-finger” variety and when she gets caught by a security guard more is revealed.
