Cold Cut: Calgary’s Canadian Ice Carving Championship

What: This special winter event at both Calgary Farmers’ Market locations will bring together top ice carvers to compete in a weekend-long competition. Drop by Friday for a sneak peek of the ice block setup, and enjoy the main event Saturday and Sunday! Guests are invited to check out incredible ice sculptures and live carving while enjoying the outdoor fire pits, live music, s’mores and maple taffy, and market vendor specials both days!

YYC Hot Chocolate Fest

What: If you love hot chocolate, you’re going to love this festival. The YYC Hot Chocolate Fest is a community fundraiser event where establishments sell hot chocolate to try and win the title of YYC’s best hot chocolate, the best spirited hot chocolate, most creative hot chocolate, worth the drive or the cup that runneth over award. $1 to $3 of every hot chocolate sold goes towards Calgary’s Meals on Wheels.

Hardy at the ‘Dome
