YYCFoodTrucks Summer Frenzy

  • What: There will be 20 local Food Trucks taking over 5th Street Square! YYCFoodTrucks is having a Summer Frenzy with live music, giveaways, and many other things to do as well as see.
  • Where: East Village- 5th Street Square, Calgary
  • When: June 26 4 to 9 p.m.; June 27 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; June 28 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Bass Pro Shop Summer Camp

  • What: There event is occurring in the Bass Pro Shop at CrossIron Mills. There will be free family activities activities like, catch and release and a bb shooting range, as well as works shops and crafts.
  • Where: Bass Pro Shops- # 112-261055 CrossIron Blvd, Rocky View

Cineplex Family Favorits

  • What: Watch Popeye in the theater for only $2.99 this Saturday morning. These Family Favorites run every Saturday.
  • Where: Any Cineplex location

Sled Island

  • What: Sled island is a 5 day music and arts festival that brings the community together. It features over 250 bands, visual artists, filmmakers and comedians in more than 30 venues. Ticket price has a large range that depends on how many bands you would like to see.

TEDxYYC 2015

  • What: TEDxYYC presents some of the most innovative people working in such areas like technology, entertainment and design. Speakers will be sharing their ideas, sparking conversation and challenging the conventional way of thinking.
  • Where: Jack Singer Concert Hall – 205 8th Avenue SE, Calgary
  • When: Friday, June 26 at 1 p.m.

Let’s Fly- An Evening with Rhythm of the Rockies

  • What: The rhythm of the Rockies is a championship chorus of energetic, enthusiastic women, who sing a 4-part cappella harmony. Hear the acclaimed group as they prepare for an international competition at Las Vegas in October 2015. A General ticket is $20.00.
  • Where: #411- 41 Ave NE, Calgary
  • When: Saturday, June 27; 7:30p.m.


  • What: Remember the WRECK CITY project that happened 2 years ago, where an entire neighbourhood was turned into chaotic, creative and original pieces of art? WRECK CITY is back with DEMO TAPE. DEMO TAPE is a mixture of art and music housed into one old penguin car wash! 50 different artists, musicians, writers, and performers have been working on the project for a month.

Colour me rad

  • What: Join a 5Km run full of colour and fun. When you join, you get a new 2015 Tour t-shirt, a pair of killer knee high socks, a color pack and free photos from a professional. On-site registration is $66.62 and for a kids rad pack its $19.19.

Kick-Off Calgary Foothills FC PDL Soccer Game

  • What: The Calgary Foothills FC’s go against the Seattle Sounders U23. Tickets are $15 for Adults (18-64) and $10 for youth (2-17 & Senior 65+).

Canada Open Grand Prix

  • What: Yonex Canada open is the host for premiere badminton stars from around the world.

Kids Grow

  • What: Kids Grow is a collaborative, community based program run by volunteers. Kids Grow is geared towards getting kids aged 5-6 involved with community gardening. This is done through a workshop, that has crafts, games and activities.

  • When: Every Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, June 6 to August 29

Inner-City underground Market

  • What: The market is full of a variety of venders and its growing fast. Come and explore, it’s a great way to meet new people and try new things.

Shakespeare By The Bow

  • What: Shakespeare by the bow is an fantastic way to spend an evening. You will be watching recently graduated post-secondary actors and actresses from across Alberta perform live theater.
