Calgary International Blues Festival

  • What: An exciting line up of events and artist are at the 11th Calgary Blues fest. This family friendly event is renowned for its blues music, hospitality and relaxed atmosphere.

Calgary Fringe Festival

  • What: Fringes are uncensored, non-juried shows, there are roughly 26 productions creating more than 160 performances over the 9 days. There is a wide variety of shows including imrov, dance, theater, film, and more.

Common Wealth: Talib Kwell with DJ Pump & Dfangz

  • What: Talib, a Brooklyn-based rapper, is known for having something significant to say in his music. He is a raper that is in high demand and has performed around the globe.

Ron Thorn and the Allied Arts

  • What: Ron Thorn, a Vancouver architect, will have his work on display from water colour to architectural drawings to an exquisite front door.

Historic Calgary Week

  • What: During the 25th Anniversary of the Historic Week Calgary you will find 65 different events. Events include a hunt to discover hidden history nuggets throughout the city, historical cross word puzzles, and a history book is being developed from input by 20 volunteer authors.

Inglewood Sunfest

  • What: A summer festival that hosts over 200 vendors that vary from artisan crafts, to community organizations to imported wares and more!

Cave Lantern Tours

  • What: Tour the Cave and Basin after hours with a lantern at your side. You will get to explore the ancient walls and experience the echoing sounds of the cave. Host to the thermal waters, the cave and basin makes an interesting trip. They will supply you with the lanterns so that you can explore the cave.

Kensington Beach in the city

  • What: Can’t make it to the beach this weekend? No problem, Kensington will be transformed into an urban beach party. There will be beach balls and hula-hoops, play mini-golf for a chance to win prizes from 10th street local shops, bouncy castle, ATB Stage all day music and a number of patios for cool drinks in the sun.

Heritage Park

  • what: Celebrate Heritage day down at heritage park, the first 500 people that come before 10:30a.m. will receive free pancakes. There will be dancing, butter making, Hammerhill Drum Group, egg and spoon races and more.

Corn Maze

  • What: It’s the largest corn maze in Southern Alberta and don’t worry about getting lost there are lots of activities to help get you through the maze.
