The famed romantic play The Light in the Piazza has hit Calgary for a month-long stint.
In 1953 Italy, Margaret Johnson and her daughter Clara are exploring the sun-drenched squares of Florence when a gust of wind blows Clara’s hat off her head and onto the feet of a handsome Tuscan man. This odd happening blossoms into love and Margaret must decide whether or not to share a secret that could destroy her daughter’s happiness.
The Light in the Piazza has won six Tony Awards and features music that will take your breath away.
