Indulge your love of food at The Daily, a recently opened restaurant in Kensington.
Located directly below Higher Ground cafe, The Daily offers a range of comforting breakfast and daytime-inspired eats, including egg dishes, burgers, sandwiches, pancakes stacks, and more.
Those looking for lighter fare will be happy to discover a range of “small breakfast” options available on the menu, in addition to salads, soups, and flatbreads.
Executive Chef Billy Macdonald, helms the kitchen at The Daily and tells Daily Hive Calgary that the restaurant’s house brined corned beef has been one of the most popular items on the menu to date.
“So far it has been hard to keep up with orders for our house brined corned beef,” remarks Macdonald. “We trim the brisket, and brine it for four to five days, before cooking it up for our corned beef hash and corned beef sandwiches.”
Featuring a half pound patty of grass fed wagyu beef (seasoned with fresh herbs and scratch made sauces) the diner-esque eatery’s burgers are also proving to be crowd favourites.
In terms of layout and design, The Daily’s space is welcoming, bright, and offers inside seating for around 60.
