The Banff Centre is showcasing a journey into a world of contemporary creativity at this year’s Children’s Festival. The one day event on Saturday, May 21 will have a colourful lineup of over 20 free or low-cost arts activities and live shows.
The festival will include theatre, music, dance, circus, and puppetry, and it encourages both the young and young-at-heart to discover and enjoy the arts.
Families can get creative together with free activities including circus school, family dance, family singalong, and the kid-friendly Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival screenings.
“The 2016 Banff Centre Children’s Festival draws its inspiration from myth and imagination, showcasing events from the classical to the zany. This year’s one-day event will be an unforgettable feast of fun for the whole family to enjoy,” said Casey Prescott, associate director, Producing at The Banff Centre.
