Calgary legend Terry from Fubar announces cancer diagnosis

Dave Lawrence, a Calgary legend well-known for his role as Terry Cahill in the cult-comedy film Fubar, has announced his diagnosis of prostate cancer.
In a post to Instagram, he shared that he got the diagnosis a couple of months ago and recently underwent surgery to get the “big nut out stat.”
“Here goes a PSA about the PSA,” he wrote. “A PSA is a blood test anā stands ferā Prostate Specific Antigen,ā and you can getār done, just ask yer doctor.”

“Iām super grateful to all the nurses, doctors and hot robots involved in making my surgery a total success,” he added.
Lawrence, who is in his forties, emphasized the importance of getting tested due to his family history.”Iām only in my forties, but my old man and his old man had it, so I knew I had to getār dealt with and am so glad I did.”
“I will rise again, and so will you, so donāt be shy about getting that test.”
He also thanked “the Brets,” local advocates for prostate cancer awareness, including wrestling icon Bret “The Hitman” Hart, investor W. Brett Wilson, and the Prostate Cancer Centre, which he praised for Making Calgary “the place to getār dealt with.”
Lawrence’s character has been a fixture in Calgary since the Fubar days in the early 2000s and maintains a strong social media presence. He later starred in Fubar II and has frequently collaborated with the Trailer Park Boys.
