TELUS has announced that it will be hiring nearly 100 new team members in Calgary and Edmonton by January 2017 with most of the new team members providing customer service directly to TELUS’ mobile customers.
“As part of TELUS’ unwavering commitment to invest in the future of Alberta, a place that 6,000 TELUS team members and 8,000 retirees call home, we are hiring more team members across our local call centre teams,” said Debbie Oster, VP, Talent Acquisition, Development & Learning, TELUS in a release.
The Canadian telecom leader says with unemployment rates continuing to rise in Alberta and estimates from the Canadian Federation of Independent Business that 40 per cent of small businesses in Alberta may resort to layoffs in the next three months, they’re proud to be hiring in the province.
