Calgary’s favourite Italian deli, Spolumbo’s has recently announced plans to open a new location in the new International Terminal at the Calgary International Airport.
Tony Spoleini, one of the co-owners with Tom Spoletini and Mike Palumbo of Spolumbo’s Fine Foods & Deli, said the company has come to an agreement with the U.S.-based HMS Group to operate a Spolumbo’s franchise at the soon-to-be Calgary Airport, according to the Calgary Herald.

While the airport locale will be smaller in size than the main outpost in Inglewood, it will offer the same offerings–think Italian-inspired sandwiches, soups, and salads.
Spolumbo’s joins an assortment of other food-focused establishments, including Vin Room and Cococo Chocolatiers, all of which have plans to open up at the Calgary Airport when it is unveiled later this year.
