January can be a pretty stressful month.
Between all those resolutions to keep up with, the winter weather to contend with, and always having to change the 7 into a weirdly shaped 8 whenever you forget that it’s actually 2018 now, the worries can begin to pile up quite high.

Luckily, there’s a cure for all that pent up stress – and we don’t mean just eating a bunch of cookie dough and staying in bed all day (though that doesn’t sound too bad either).
Calgary is full of wonderful spas that can massage out those worries, soak away the responsibilities, and soothe your body and mind.
Here’s a few of our favourite spas around the city that are perfect for your next Treat Yo’ Self day out on the town:
What: The Stillwater Spa is right in the heart of Calgary at the Hyatt Regency. The spa offers a variety of massage, mani, and pedi packages.
Where: Hyatt Regency Calgary – 700 Centre Street S, Calgary
Base package: 1.5 hour Stillwater Express massage, manicure, and pedicure package: $195
What: This one’s a little more spiritual, but no less relaxing. Align your zen at Calgary’s Home of Om, where you can take part in private readings, massage therapy, float therapy, or trilotherapy; a type of meditation that eases your state of mind.
Where: 2312 4th Street SW, Calgary
Base cost: One hour float tank sessions: $50
What: With hot stone therapy, Swedish massages, couple’s massages, and more, Riverside Spa is the perfect place to take that special someone.
Where: 110 Point McKay Crescent NW, Calgary
Base cost: One hour therapeutic massage: $130
What: Rejuvenate yourself by checking out the Spa Ritual’s various body scrubs, facials, massages, or by taking a trip into their infrared saunas.
Where: 106 Crowfoot Terrace NW, Calgary
Base package: The Spa Ritual Experience; facial, pedicure, massage, and smoothie: $395
What: Located at Calgary’s Fairmont Palliser and the Hotel Le Germain, this spa offers the regular massage and treatment packages, but also gives you access to an indoor pool and hot tub.
Where: Fairmont Palliser – 133 9th Avenue SW, Calgary; Hotel Le Germain – 899 Centre Street SW, Calgary
Base Package: The RnR Express Indulgence; massage, facial, foot massage, and manicure: $189
What: This outdoor spa is not open quite yet (it’ll be ready for guests in February) but we couldn’t help but add it to the list as it looks amazing with multiple outdoor pools, sauna cabins, float pools, fire-side lounges, and more. This outdoor oasis will be the go-to place for relaxation – even if it is a lengthy drive away.
Where: Detla Hotels by Marriott Kananaskis Lodge – 1 Centennial Dr, Kananaskis Village
Base cost: One hour massage: $149
