Kicking off the official Year of Music in our city, Music Calgary has announced SoundOff III, an industry showcase and networking event where agents, promoters, publicists, managers, and supervisors will come together to discover new talent and help bolster their journey in the music industry.
SoundOff III features incredible home-grown talent, including:
- Hello Moth
- AM Static
- Beach Season
- Dragon Fli Empire
- Sergeant & Comrade
- Scott MacKay
- Northern Beauties
- Mariel Buckley
- Faith Healer
- Clinton St. John
- Port Juvee
- Double Fuzz
Continuing the momentum and success of the first two editions, SoundOff III welcomes delegates from near and far to Calgary from February 25 to 27 to scout talent and share their knowledge with local musicians and industry through a panel workshop.
Past showcasing artist Reuben and the Dark scored a record deal with Arts & Crafts after Remedios saw the band play at SoundOff, while other local acts Mark Mills and Transit secured new Canadian agency representation after impressing at their shows.
Over three nights at three local venues – Commonwealth Bar and Stage, Ironwood Stage and Grill, and The Gateway at SAIT – SoundOff III gives 16 local artists the chance to show fans and delegates why the buzz about Calgary becoming the next big music city isn’t just hype.
With the inaugural Music Mile celebration just completed, the 45th JUNO Awards set to take over the city in the spring, and the brand new National Music Centre opening later this year, Calgary is rightfully gaining an international reputation as an vibrant and dynamic music city.
