Expect more snow, lows that feel like -22°C in Calgary this weekend

The mercury is about to drop in Calgary.

This weekend’s weather is looking colder than we’ve seen all season, even with the recent snowfall we’ve seen over the past week.

More of that snow is actually on its way come Friday, with The Weather Network calling for two to four cm to fall by the end of the week.

The weekend brings with it plummeting temperatures. Saturday morning will see a high of just -12°C that feels more like -18°C — likely due to the 24 km/hour wind gusts that will sweep into the city.

Sunday is the real chiller; however, with a morning high of -16°C that feels like -22°C.

Those hoping to venture outside should wait until Sunday afternoon, when temperatures climb up to a (relatively) warm -3°C.

If you haven’t dug that parka out of the closet yet, it looks like this weekend is the time to do it!
