Big man Shaquille O’Neal turned to Facebook and posted a video thanking the heroes in Fort McMurray.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you guys are the true heroes saving over 90,000 people,” Shaq says in the video.

The raging wildfires in northern Alberta have caused over 80,000 people to flee their homes and officials say the wildfire has grown to approximately 230,000 hectares in size. So far the Canadian Red Cross has received upwards of 60 million dollars in donations for relief efforts in Fort Mac.

The basketball legend ends the video by saying, “Love you guys, love Canada. And thank you. You guys are real heroes,” and then pays homage to Canada by singing our national anthem.
