A new full-service, casual fine dining restaurant is now operating in Bowness Park.
Replacing Parkside Kiosk Cafe, Seasons of Bowness Park offers a seasonally-inspired menu (hence the name).
Under the direction of head chef Chris Hartmann, Seasons’ menu will highlight the ingredients of the season, showcasing lighter fare in the summer and heartier fare in the winter, using local produce whenever possible.
“It is very important to us that we maintain the heritage of Bowness, and in particular Bowness Park, in everything we do at Seasons,” says Anna Ennis, who is behind this project along with her husband Alex Solano (also of Salt & Pepper Mexican Restaurants in Bowness and Inglewood and Lolita’s Lounge in Inglewood), and Melanie Martzoukos.
“The idea behind our food concept is ‘Evolved Picnic,'” remarks Ennis. “Canadiana would be our food theme, which spans a wide variety of cultures including Asian, Latin, and Italian.”
Overlooking the lagoon of Bowness Park, the restaurant offers inside seating for 68 and patio seating for 63.
The restaurant also features a grab-and-go market, which offers daily made-in-house pastries, salads, and sandwiches, among other snack-type foods. Smoothies, Italian sodas, teas, and specialty coffees, are also available.
“We use Phil & Sebastian coffee exclusively for all our coffee drinks including the French press service in the restaurant,” states Ennis.
The grab-and-go market also contains a small retail component. It stocks things that are used in the restaurant, like Chilewich table and floor mats, Fortessa stemware, Phil & Sebastian coffee, and Grounded tea, for example.
“We like to support local as much as possible,” says Ennis.
Seasons of Bowness Park is open Monday to Friday 11 am to 10 pm, and Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 10 pm. The grab-and go market is open 10 am to 8 pm daily (weather dependent) in the summer and 10 am to 6 pm (weather dependent) in the winter.
