Alberta’s small towns are packed with hidden foodie gems, just waiting to be uncovered if you know where to look. Located in the town of Olds, there’s a self-serve “ramen library,” which is a must-visit for instant ramen aficionados.
The Ramen Library, which opened its doors last year, is essentially a choose-your-own adventure dining option that any lover of instant ramen will enjoy.
Inside, guests will find an extremely colourful and oh-so aesthetically pleasing wall of ramen packets, with dozens of variations of the classic snack.
Diners are able to select their ramen flavour of choice, and choose from additional toppings to customize the ramen, including egg, kimchi, tofu and shrimp.
You’ll then ring up your goods at the counter and use one of the spot’s Insta Cookers to prep your own meal to perfection.
As well as ramen, the spot also offers sweet treats such as pancakes and croffles, egg tarts, milk tea and more.
