It may be summer, but since when has Calgary ever ascribed to seasonal norms when it comes to its infamously fickle weather?
While the city is facing a heat warning as of Wednesday morning (along with half the province), a major shift is coming in the form of a few rainy days.

A risk of thunderstorms is on the horizon, expected to hit Calgary on Thursday with around 5 mm of rainfall and a high of 28°C that feels more like 29°C, according to the seven-day forecast from The Weather Network.
The thunder will cease but the rain will come down even harder come Friday, with temperatures cooling down to 22°C and around 10 mm of rainfall.
Good news is that the rest of the weekend is looking to get right back to sunny skies, alongside highs of 23°C.
The return to summer continues throughout the start of next week, with Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday all seeing highs of 23°C, 25°C, and 21°C, respectively.
There is a 30% chance of rainfall on Wednesday, however, to the tune of less than 1 mm.
We’ll just keep our fingers crossed that the sun holds out for the rest of the summer.
