Beloved French restaurant in Calgary closes after seven years

A Calgary French bistro has closed its doors after almost seven years.
Purlieu Bistro, a popular neighbourhood spot for French food and wine, has permanently closed its doors.
In an Instagram post, the Purlieu team revealed that its last day of service at its Oakridge location was Friday, Feb. 27.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported us — whether you stopped in once or have been with us from the start. We appreciate every visit, every order, and every kind word,” the team said.
First opening in 2019, Purlieu Bistro offered everything from steak frites to duck leg confit and more.
While Purlieu is no more, the same owners also operate the Oakridge restaurant Trullo Trattoria, which focuses on Italian cuisine.
