Calgary's Pigeonhole named Best New Restaurant in Canada

Dec 19 2017, 10:42 am

Calgary’s blossoming food scene is getting some major national attention: Pigeonhole has been ranked number one on the Best New Restaurants in Canada list.

The honour comes from enRoute Magazine, who publish the list annually. This year’s panel of food biz luminaries include a roster of journalists, TV personalities, and other industry pros from across the country.

Pigeonhole is described by enRoute as a “fun, exciting, genre-bending restaurant anchored to a Victorian sense of refinement.”

On the menu at this restaurant that makes its home in a former tea house are things like Nori crumpets, edamame in salty butter, and Earl Grey martinis. The culinary mind behind Pigeonhole is the rising star Justin Leboe, who is also behind Calgary’s wildly popular Model Milk. Pigeonhole is also known for their terrific music and thoughtful wine program.

Congratulations to Piegeohole, with apologies to everyone who is probably about to find it really hard to get a table there for the next little while.
