Did you miss out on the Northern Lights show over the weekend?
Fear not, because Parks Canada and Air North Yukon’s Airline want to send you to the land of the Northern Lights.
In celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday, Parks Canada wants to get you on a five-day all-inclusive backcountry adventure in Ivvavik National Park, with a special behind-the-scenes tour of the SS Klondike National Historic Site in Whitehorse. It’s the ultimate dream trip of Canada’s beautiful north.
The contest is meant to encourage Canadians to explore all corners of the country.
“As Canada’s largest provider of natural and cultural tourism, Parks Canada’s destinations form important cornerstones for Canada’s local, regional, and national tourism industry,” said Diane Wilson, of Parks Canada, in a release.
“The Yukon and Northwest Territories’ national parks and historic sites offer incredible natural and cultural adventures. Parks Canada is excited to offer once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to visit the heart of Ivvavik National Park, and experience the culture of the land through Inuvialuit cultural hosts.”
If you’ve never heard of Ivvavik National Park, we suggest checking out how beautiful it is.
Lucky winners will get to explore the park and its natural beauty while staying at the comfortable Imniarvik base camp, where they will experience the culture and stories of their Inuvialuit hosts, and hike for hours under the midnight sun
To get in on this ultimate Canadian trip, all you need to do is visit the Fly North website and the contest closes on December 24, 2017.
