Parks Canada opens 2025 Alberta camping reservations this month

The great outdoors is calling! Parks Canada is opening up camping reservations for 2025 in Alberta later this month.

So check where the statutory holidays land this summer in Alberta, and get ready to start booking those camping trips!

When will camping reservations open for national parks in Alberta?

Reservations for Banff National Park kick off on Friday, January 24, at 8 am, with backcountry camping reservations opening up on Monday, January 27, at 8 am.

The highly popular reservable shuttle to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise Lakeshore will start taking bookings on Wednesday, April 16, at 8 am.

Those looking to camp in Jasper National Park can try to get their dates starting Tuesday, January 28, at 8 am, with backcountry camping reservations opening up on Wednesday, February 29, at 8 am.

Elk Island National Park, Waterton Lakes National Park, and Wood Buffalo National Park camping reservations will all begin at 8 am on Wednesday, January 22.

Outside of Alberta, popular sites in BC will also be available in January, with Yoho National Park camping sites up for grabs come Tuesday, January 21. Glacier National Park and Mount Revelstoke National Park will open up for booking on Friday, January 17.

Ontario sites will open up a little later than those in the west, with Parks Canada camping sites rolling out on February 3.
