You can watch a movie under the stars in downtown Calgary next month

Get ready for an epic outdoor movie screening in downtown Calgary.

On June 16, Qualex-Landmark will be hosting a free outdoor movie night at Central Memorial Park in downtown Calgary’s Beltline community.

Head down and sit under the stars to watch the Wes Anderson classic – ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’ with George Clooney, Meryl Streep and Bill Murray.

The large format 40 x 26 foot movie screen will be located across 12th street SW, next to the Park Point residential community currently nearing completion. Festivities in the park will start early afternoon for Neighbour Day as a prelude to the climactic outdoor movie event.

Because all of Calgary is invited to this free event and seating is limited, be sure to arrive early to secure your spot at the park!

And for those taking our advice and heading down early, check out the Park Point Discovery Centre up to two-hours before the movie to receive a free movie night goodie bag which will include a picnic-style blanket to use during the movie, a snack, bottled water and more.

To accompany the movie, there will be a range of YYC food trucks parked along Central Memorial Park to address any movie snacking or pre-movie dinner requests.
