Dec 19 2017, 10:53 am

There is nothing better than a warm welcome. Soup for Syrians, supported by Bow Valley College and Centre for New Comers, the event is organized by Soup Sisters, a Calgary-based non-profit. Their goal is to provide over 5,000 servings of soup for Syrian families arriving to Calgary.

With your help and compassion the goal can be reached, all you have to do is spend an hour or more of your time participating in a fast paced soup-a-thon. The soups will be crafted from culturally comforting recipes for the Syrian refugees to enjoy.

If you have children and want to participate in the event, babysitting is offered for children 3 years of age and younger. Take note that the minimum age to participate in the activity is 6 years old.

There is a $25 fee but it is meant to cover the costs of the event.
