Here's what's open and closed in Calgary on Christmas Day

With Christmas Day just around the corner, it’s one of the busiest times of year in Calgary. With everyone trying to squeeze in those final tasks before the big day, it’s important to plan ahead and check what’s open and closed.

Many businesses and services in Calgary will be closed or have adjusted hours for the holiday. We’ve rounded up a few things that will be open and closed on Christmas Day in Calgary.

Calgary Public Library

All branches of the Calgary Public Library will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day this year, but many will be open until 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Leisure centres

Calgary leisure centres such as Village Square Leisure Centre and Renfrew Aquatic & Recreation Centre will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Movie theatres

Cineplex Entertainment, Landmark Cinemas, and Canyon Meadows Cinemas will be open on Christmas Day for moviegoers who want to grab some popcorn, snacks, and a comfy theatre seat.
