Opa! Greek Annual Bazaar returns to Calgary this November

Dec 19 2017, 10:42 am

The Greek Ladies of Philoptochos, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to helping those in need in the community, will once again host their Annual Greek Bazaar this November.

Attendees to the event, which takes places over two days, can expect to find a range of homemade authentic Greek food (moussaka, pasticho, souvlaki, greek meatballs, and spanakopita), desserts (baklava, diples other dough-based treats), arts, crafts and family entertainment. Admission is $2 and includes a coffee, homemade pastry and entry in a daily raffle draw.

In addition to being a fun day out and providing the public with a taste of Greek culture, the Greek Annual Bazaar is The Greek Ladies of Philoptochos’ only source of funds to provide help to those who need the support. The funds raised are donated to a large variety of organizations such as Alberta Children’s Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society, The Mustard Seed, Women’s Emergency Shelter, World Vision, Operation Eyesight, Canadian Red Cross, Inn From The Cold, among many others.
