"Not Amazon" launches to help promote local shopping
A website has just been launched called Not Amazon, to promote shopping locally in four Canadian cities.
The website has created a directory of local businesses in Toronto, Calgary, Halifax, and Vancouver.
Not Amazon works by individuals submitting businesses to be placed on the directory, which can be done easily by filling out a form on the website.
As for how long it takes for the businesses to be put on the website, the answer follows, “Lately, I’ve been getting hundreds of submissions a day, and it’s just me going through them so, realistically it could take as long as three days, maybe a little more,” reads the website.
It also appears that two more cities will be added before Christmas time.

The businesses range from local book stores to general stores, stationery stores, home decor, vintage shops, apparel + accessory stores, and so much more.
All the stores offer curbside pick-up and delivery options.
During the holiday season, could be the opportune moment to support local businesses, during one of the busiest shopping times of the year.
