Calgary's 2021 No Pants C-Train ride cancelled due to pandemic
Calgary’s annual No Pants C-Train ride will not be happening this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Organized by Improv Everywhere, the popular event started in New York City and sees pants-less individuals board subway cars in the middle of winter. It’s all meant to be a good-spirited prank.
But safety concerns surrounding COVID-19 forced organizers to cancel the 2021 rendition.
“We look forward to hosting more large-scale events once it is safe to do so again. In the meantime, we’ll be working remotely on an office in the middle of the river,” they said in a website update.
