While we love a good dance sesh at the Cowboys tent, our true Stampede highlight is always eating the new food at the Midway.

We’ve seen crickets, deep-fried tequila, and chocolate-covered-cheese-filled everything – so it’s kind of mind-blowing that there are a whopping 50 new items to check out at the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth for 2019.
Whether you are aiming to get your hands on a ramen-hot dog mashup, bite into pickle cotton candy, or taste the likes of a Flamin’ Hot Frog Leg, the Midway eats this year might actually be the wildest we’ve seen yet.
Aside from the actual new dishes themselves, a new food tour called ‘Take a Bite Outta Stampede!’ will be offered for 2019.
This tour, presented by Food Network Canada, will offer daily food competitions and behind-the-scenes tours of the new food on the Midway.
Tours will run weekdays starting July 5, followed by July 8 to 12 and tickets are $79, which includes Stampede admission for the day of the scheduled tour.
