The Stampede may have been cancelled this year, but that didn’t stop artists from capturing the Western spirit on canvas.

New Horizon Mall has announced its plans to host the “Back in the Saddle” art exhibition at the end of August, featuring works of 10 Stampede artists including event organizer Paul Van Ginkel.

“Naturally I didn’t stop painting. In fact, I have been working harder than usual and creating my best work to date,” said Ginkel of the past COVID-19-impacted months, in the release.

“Artists never stop working, just like we never retire.”

The exhibition will run from August 28 to 31, and will host an art-filled gallery, live music, and complimentary beverages.
