Alberta sees 27 new coronavirus cases, two deaths

An update from the Province of Alberta has supplied new info on coronavirus cases in the province.

According to a release, there have been 27 new cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of known cases to 7,229.

However, of that total, only 356 are still active.

There were two deaths over the past 24 hours, bringing the total coronavirus-related deaths to 151 in Alberta.

111 were in the Calgary zone, 16 in the north zone, 13 in the Edmonton zone, 10 in the South zone, and one in the Central zone. Of these, 116 were from continuing care facilities.

To date, a total of 303,689 tests have been completed in the province, 4,993 of which were completed over the past 24 hours.
