Two new deaths, 187 new known cases of coronavirus confirmed in Alberta

In a Tuesday press conference, Alberta Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw said the province has seen 187 new known cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

This brings the province’s known total to 3,095.

She also noted that there were two new deaths in the past 24 hours, including a resident at High Prairie’s JB Wood Continuing Care Centre.

This brings the total coronavirus-related deaths in the province to 61.

367 of Alberta’s total cases were detected at continuing care centres, with 29 current outbreaks being seen, according to Hinshaw.

The province has begun releasing information on outbreak locations on their website as of today.
