Netflix introduces offline mode, will now let users download movies and shows to watch anytime

We’ve all been there.

Halfway through a series/a season/an episode, and the WiFi cuts out. Or you have to get on a plane. Or the subway. Or anywhere else where the Internet is not your friend and you have to wait far too long to find out what happens to Eleven and the gang.

Well, Netflix has answered all of its users prayers (and complaints) and finally introduced an offline mode that will let all account holders download their favourite TV shows and movies to their devices to watch anytime, anywhere they like.

Game. Changer.

To watch a show without an Internet connection, simply click the download button on the details page and viola, you’re free to go anywhere you like without having to wonder about the fate of your favourite characters.

According to the Netflix company blog, many shows are already available for download – including Orange is The New Black, Narcos and The Crown – with many more on the way. As well, “the new feature is included in all plans and available for phones and tablets on Android and iOS.”

There is now no excuse not to be caught up on the next binge-worthy production Netflix puts out. Which is, presumably, exactly their reason for doing this.
