Twitter released their list of most mentioned Canadian mayors for 2015 and our very own Naheed Nenshi topped the list, beating out Toronto’s John Tory (number two) and Montreal’s Denise Coderre (number three)
Edmonton’s Don Iveson came in at a respectable fifth place.
In 2015, @nenshi had more Twitter mentions than any other mayor in 🇨🇦 https://t.co/1WADSyX0Gv #yyccc pic.twitter.com/HfZwwGtSNO

Nenshi is very active on Twitter and is known for interacting with his 276,000 followers. A quick scan of his Twitter account shows several retweeted photos of lost pets in the Calgary area. It also shows a penchant for being direct and sometimes a little sassy.
Doing this is stupid and dangerous. So don’t https://t.co/QDseF9tz2w

@TwitterCanada @nenshi He’s against uber innovation and is paid-off by the cab commission. #Fail

@MrTommyCampbell @TwitterCanada if only there was such a commission. Sorry, the only lobbyists work for Uber. still don’t have insurance.

In a municipal list of most mentioned Canadian politicians, Nenshi was only beat out by Toronto City Councillor Norm Kelly – but anyone with a Drake connection has an unfair advantage.
