Calgary's Second Mountain Equipment Co-op is now open (PHOTOS)

A brand new store has just opened in Calgary.

Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC), the outdoor apparel and equipment retailer, just had the grand opening of its second store in the city, with this one being located in the Seton Urban District.

The 24,000-sq-ft store is both a retail space as well as a community hub for clinics, meetups, classes, and workshops in all things outdoors, and features a unique open-concept bike shop where Calgarians can bring their rides in for service, repairs, and fittings.

The store had a soft opening on September 1 and a grand opening on September 8. It is now open for any and all customers every day of the week from 10 am to 7 pm Monday through Wednesday, 10 am to 9 pm Thursday and Friday, 9 am to 6 pm on Saturdays, and 10 am to 5 pm on Sundays.
