Glamorous Calgary event ready to help Special Olympic athletes shine
A Calgary organization dedicated to supporting Special Olympics athletes across Canada is hosting a fall gala this weekend, and it promises to be an evening of glamour, giving, and good times.
The motionball Calgary Gala is happening on Saturday, Nov. 7, at The Ampersand in celebration of 15 years in motion.
The unforgettable event welcomes over 350 guests and Special Olympics athletes for delicious food and drinks, live entertainment, a silent auction, and more.

“The motionball Calgary Gala reminds us how much this city shows up,” said Paul Etherington, co-founder of motionball. “We’re so excited to bring Calgary’s young professionals back together for a night of great energy, great entertainment and real purpose, all in support of Special Olympics Alberta and Special Olympics Foundation Canada.
“The heart of the evening is always the athletes, and getting to celebrate alongside them is what makes this night unlike any other.”
