These are the most popular travel destinations for Valentine's Day
With Valentine’s Day only a couple weeks away, lovebirds are planning romantic getaways and singles are planning, well, to escape their hometown that is filled with nauseatingly happy couples and a lacklustre dating pool. (No offence, Vancouver š)
According to travel search engine KAYAK, there has been a 50% search increase for trips for Valentine’s Day weekend, compared to any other weekend in February this year.
In addition to weekend lovefests and vacations flings, KAYAK also found that 22% of Canadians have been in a long distance relationship with a partner living abroad, and 16% have started a relationship with someone they met on holiday.
So what better day than the international day of love to reunite with that special someone?
