BabyCenter’s top 100 girls and boys baby names for 2019 has been released, and it’s time to find out who made the list.

For girls, a new name, Sophia, has taken the top spot, knocking last year’s first place name, Ava, to number seven.

Unlike the many changes in the girls’ top 100, the top names for baby boys has stayed fairly consistent, with most popular names staying pretty much unchanged from last year.

This year’s boy name winner was Jackson, followed by runner-up Liam, with the two popular names fighting for first and second over the years.

According to BabyCenter, Noah, Lucas, Benjamin, Oliver, and Logan, all have been dominating the top 10 for several years running.

Notable risers for boys in 2019 included Declan, Maverick, and Theodore, climbing up a number of spots

For the girls, Olivia, Emma, Amelia and Aria all moved up a number of spots, while Ivy, Eva, Anna, and Leah all plummeted.
