The same day singer Meat Loaf rescheduled his Calgary show, he collapsed while performing on stage in Edmonton.

On Thursday night, while rocking out at Edmonton’s Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, Michael Lee Aday, fell to the ground mid performance, knocking over his microphone stand and shocking the crowd.

Fan videos show him collapsing amid singing his hit song “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That).”

Earlier in the week the singer had postponed his June 13 Calgary concert indefinitely, due to falling ill the morning of the show.

In a Facebook post Friday morning, Jeremy Westby of Webster Public Relations, said “Meat Loaf collapsed Thursday night due to sever dehydration near the end of his concert… He was admitted to a nearby hospital to undergo routine tests. His vital signs are stable and normal – he’s responsive and recovering well. He extends his heartfelt thanks for everyone’s support and well wishes, and is expecting a speedy and full recovery.”

The company noted that any concert postponements or rescheduled dates will be announced at a later time.
