A 34-year-old man was assaulted outside a Save-On-Foods in January in what police believe to be a random attack.
According to a release from the Calgary Police Service, the victim of the assault had been outside the Richmond Square Save-On-Foods in SW Calgary at around 8:30 pm on January 23 when he was seriously assaulted by another man.

The assault left the victim with “significant facial and head injuries,” states the release, and the motive for the attack remains unknown to police.
CPS is attempting to identify and locate a witness who they believe was “present for the assault but did not participate,” as that witness had joined the suspect following the incident, heading northbound from the Save-On-Foods.
Police have provided images of two people who may have information about the incident.
