Join the Mad Max Ride YYC for a post-apocalyptic trip into Beakerhead's Spectacle night

Now, this is making an entrance.

Beakerhead 2019’s Spectacle night is taking place this Saturday, September 21 at Prince’s Island Park, and while it’s a pretty easy event to get to, why not show up in style?

The Mad Max Ride YYC post-apocalyptic transport ride is offering just that, with the chance to join over 100 other riders who will be decked out in spikes, goggles, and some seriously stunning outfits.

What’s more, is that the organized ride is completely free to attend (though you will have to purchase a ticket to Beakerhead’s The Spectacle if you want to gain entrance to the park) and is being thrown to advocate for climate action.

The first 100 to register for the ride secured themselves some free tickets to the big events, but that deal has unfortunately been sold out.

Riders will be meeting at the Simmons Building in East Village at 4 pm on Saturday to rally before cruising their way over to the park along a designated route.

Participants and witnesses alike will be able to check out all the creative costumes, (non-motorized) vehicles, and music that will be played as the convoy continues along the Bow River pathways.

The event is the creation of Reworks, an upcycle shop offering coffee, gifts, bike rentals, and seasonal tours in Victoria Park.
