Farmers market charcuterie favourite to open a new Calgary boutique this month

A Calgary Farmers Market staple is set to open a new boutique with on-demand charcuterie and more.

Luc’s European Meats is set to open a storefront at Calgary’s Southcentre, giving mall-goers a brand-new spot to purchase delicious goods.

While the boutique will be soft-opening on Friday, Oct. 16, Luc’s will be hosting a huge grand opening weekend celebration, kicking off at 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23 and running through until Sunday, Oct. 25.

As part of the festivities, a rare 70-kilogram wheel of Emmental de Savoie PGI – which is actually the largest cheese in the world – will be ceremonially sliced, sampled, and sold on site, as well as location-exclusive promotions.

The boutique will offer everything you could possibly need for hosting the most delicious dinner party ever (or even for the most elaborate girl dinner). There are local cheeses, house-crafted charcuterie, important fine foods, and so much more. Shoppers will even be able to pick up cheese knives or ceramic plating.

In addition to its farmers market outpost, the new store will be able to pick up charcuterie boards, grazing boxes and gourmet canapĂ©s during mall hours without needing to give 24 hours’ notice, which is perfect for any last-minute plans.

Luc’s European Meats’ new Southcentre location will be open seven days a week.
