Much-loved Calgary pop-up restaurant to close this month
A popular Calgary restaurant pop-up is set to close its doors this month.
Love Damian, which has made its home at Downtown Calgary’s Meat & Bread for the last eighteen months, has revealed that its final service will be on May 29.
“The idea of bringing people together, around food, around family, and around the table. That spirit is something our entire team has carried forward every single day,” the team said in an Instagram post.
“Our hope was to pass on that same feeling, to bring people together over a meal made with love.”

Brought to life by Chef Kyle Opel, inspired by his father’s love of Northern Italian cuisine, Love Damian has been serving up delicious fare from freshly baked focaccia, handmade pasta and more.
While Love Damian will certainly be missed, the team teased that there are a few things quietly in the works, so we’ll be looking forward to what’s next.
But for those looking to say goodbye, there are still a couple of weeks to visit the spot.
