Big changes are underway at a Banff hotel as the High Country Inn undergoes a massive transformation into an upscale retreat.

Located on the edge of Banff’s town centre, the hotel is being rebranded as The Kenrick Hotel, with its grand reopening set for Spring 2025.

The hotel has been closed since last year for extensive renovations, including updates to its guest rooms, lobby, pool area, corridors, and more, to create a more modern and luxurious experience for guests.

The hotel’s Instagram has been sharing sneak peeks of the new space, including the stunning Nora Pool, which will feature poolside snacks and drinks for guests to enjoy.

The Kenrick King rooms also promise luxury, with details like rain-head showers and customizable pillows for added comfort.

The redesigned lobby will incorporate modern design elements while keeping beloved artwork from the High Country Inn as a nod to the hotel’s past.

“We couldn’t say goodbye to our beloved grizzly bear art—it’s still here, reminding us of where we started, while everything else speaks to where we’re headed.”

In the meantime, the Fat Ox Banff restaurant at the hotel remains open.

“Stay tuned for our website — launching next week!”
