Calgary-based Juice Because launches nutrient-dense soup line

Calgary’s revered cold-pressed juicery Juice Because is all about providing wholesome, nourishing blends. While their premium tonics are a great way to receive a dose of essential nutrients and vitamins, they are best enjoyed chilled.

Recognizing that Calgarians live in a city that is cold eight months out of the year, the trio behind the brand, Eliza Boyd, Leigh Gibney, and Kendal Hannah, have decided to launch a soup line.

Aptly named Soup Because, the line of hand-crafted warming blends include two broths (bone and veggie), and four veggie soup varieties. In terms of ingredients, Soup Because sources as much organic produce as they can, and works with local growers to make up the rest of their veggie supply.

In addition to fresh and frozen soup, Soup Because also offers a range of soup cleanse packages, which are served fresh in 250mL and 500mL glass jars.

To begin with the soup will be available at Juice Because’s recently opened brick and mortar location and online for pick-up or home delivery. A single jar of soup costs around $8.50.
